Mastering is the Quality Control for your musical recordings. Mastering takes place usually once the mix is finished and has been signed off by the artist. It involves engagement of mastering talent, mastering hardware and software, plus world class monitoring. There is often a large gap between how your mix sounds and how you expect it to sound coming from streaming services, radio, etc This is where mastering comes in - to get your mixes up to scratch so it actually sounds like a release. In mastering we can also address many issues you may have with the mix.
Most mastering engineers just receive a mix and do a little tweak and give it back to you in the format for release and say goodbye. No, we have a mastering philosophy we live by and it involves YOU. We take your mixes and LISTEN to them, SPEND TIME with them, and come to UNDERSTAND your record or single and most importantly YOU as an ARTIST. We can see where you are headed and do what we can to reach your vision plus surprise you with where we can get the sound to. We do not stop until we are happy with how your record or song is sounding. If there are issues in the mix that are preventing a great master we will say so. We will also design ways with you that we can work around and rectify the issue. We actually care about your record and the art you have invested your soul into. This is our cutting edge. You tell us what you hear when we send it back to you and then we hear you. We believe the customer is always right! You are not imagining what you are hearing. What's more, we offer a 3 month period that you can still come back to us if you need to, as part of the deal. You do not get that kind of comprehensive service anywhere else in the mastering world!
